About Me

My name is Alisha Blais, LCSW
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Healing Solutions Counseling. I believe finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapy process. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable being honest and know that you will be heard, understood, and supported.
I have extensive experience working with adults navigating eating disorders and disordered eating, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, restrictive eating, and complicated relationships with food and body image. My work includes supporting individuals at different stages of eating disorder recovery and helping clients better understand the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns that can keep eating disorders going.
While eating disorders are an important area of focus in my practice, they are not the only reason people come to therapy. I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, relationship concerns, self-esteem and body image concerns, and major life transitions.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. Rather than using the same approach with every person, we will work together to understand what is happening beneath the surface and determine what will be most helpful for you.
I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT-E techniques for eating disorders, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), mindfulness, strength-based approaches, and solution-focused therapy. Depending on your needs, therapy may involve developing practical coping skills, identifying and changing patterns that are no longer serving you, processing difficult experiences, and building a healthier relationship with yourself.
My goal is to provide a space where you can talk openly about difficult things without feeling judged. Together, we will develop goals that are meaningful to you and work toward changes that feel realistic and sustainable.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. You just have to be willing to start.
