Cognitive Behaviorial Therapy (CBT)

If you're looking for a structured approach to talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) may be the right choice for you.  This evidence-based approach helps individuals become aware of negative thinking patterns and learn coping skills for challenging situations. Every individual is unique, which is why our CBT sessions are personalized to fit each person's specific needs.

CBT therapists emphasize what is going on in the person’s current life, rather than what has led up to their difficulties. A certain amount of information about one’s history is needed, but the focus is primarily on moving forward in time to develop more effective ways of coping with life.Source:

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy. DBT is designed to help clients achieve their goals, providing them with a toolkit of solid coping mechanisms such as mindfulness and distress tolerance. It is useful with aiding clients in taking an active role in their own emotional growth, to shift from negative towards positive patterns of thinking.

Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.
